ARCHEOSAPORI IN THE LANDS OF LIBARNA

Part of the Roman city of Libarna situated along the via Postumia, an historical-archaeological and food and wine route which leads the tourist to discover the local products which still retain the most authentic expression of the past. Archaeosapori are those elements and products already in use in Roman times and which, adapted and transformed over the centuries, are still present
on our tables.
Artisans of taste, producers and companies which make their own excellent products, starting precisely from the Archaeosapori, will reveal the ancient tastes and stories connected to the wine production of this area.

Project born out of the collaboration of the Superintendence of Archaeological assets and the Association Libarna Arteventi.

Note

The small tour by own means will start from the archaeological area of Libarna to move on to the route of the Archeosapori between Serravella Scrivia and Gavi. Duration: 4 hours.

The price includes:

-Guided tours of the Archaeological Area of Libarna and the Museum area at the Municipality of Serravalle Scrivia (The Archaeological area of Libarna is under the supervision and management of the Superintendence of archaeology, fine arts and landscape for the provinces of Alessandria, Asti and Cuneo: the
visiting times are regulated by a seasonal calendar or can be agreed by appointment)
- Visit to winery which produces wine in amphora
- Visit to long-standing Pastry shop branded De.Co. to taste the "Tessellae" made of spelt and the mouth-watering Bacio di Libarna.
