Casa Coppi

Among all the sporting cycling heroes of the past, the name of Fausto Coppi is still a shining example for all cyclists and more. If you want to get to know about the life and times of the Campionissimo, it is possible to visit his birth place in Castellania: the house, currently owned by Ilda and Vittorio Coppi, the children of Fausto’s uncle, and granted on loan for use to the Tourism Consortium “Terre di Fausto Coppi”, was finally opened to the public in January 2000 following renovation and conservation work. This was made possible through the support of the Piedmont Regional Authority and Organisations, institutions and individuals. Casa Coppi offers sportspeople, both young and old, the ideal meeting place of the never-ending affection and admiration for a great human being and sportsperson who transcends time and space. There are also dedicated exhibition rooms, a documentation centre full of printed and iconographic material, films, newspapers, memorabilia and curiosities. Open from Saturday 6 April 2024 Saturday 2.30 pm - 6 pm, Sunday 10 am-12.30 pm and 2.30 pm -6 pm. Other days, by appointment. On 25 April (Liberation Day) and 1 May 2024 (Labour Day) open from 10 am to noon and from 2.30 pm to 6 pm. The House remains closed in winter (to request special openings refer to the contact details below).
