Wines: organic Dolcetto d’Ovada, Rosato, Barbera The Casa Nuova farming company belonging to Paola Badino, situated in the municipality of Rocca Grimalda, has been overlooking the hamlet of San Giacomo from the top of a small hump, as if it were a balcony of land and vineyards, for more than a century. From the house, the view extends towards Silvano d’Orba, and then towards the profile of the Ligurian Apennines. We are in the Ovada area, borderland between Piedmont and Liguria, an area that was still covered by extensive woods of chestnuts and oaks in 1800, progressively cut down to make space for vine growing.
