Castello di Calosso

The castle, originally the property of the Roero di Cortanze family, has taken on the look of an elegant stately home over the centuries with the exception of the north side where the 16th century fortress has remained almost intact. It is characterised by the massive cylindrical tower adorned by hanging arches and Guelph battlements and the typically 18th century doorway. During the visit, the history of the Castle will be explained and the drawing rooms, the Chapel dedicated to Saint Alessandro Sauli, the dungeons and the panoramic park will be shown.
