KRUMIRI ROSSI

It is said that the delicious biscuits called Krumiri came to life, a little bit by chance and a little for fun, thanks to Domenico Rossi in 1878 to honour “the king with a handlebar moustache” (Vittorio Emanuele II). The bakery, currently managed by Anna Portinaro, has kept intact the artisan production of this fragrant biscuit. Perfect with a cup of tea, drinks and desserts with a spoon or with a sweet wine, such as Brachetto, or with a glass of liqueur, it is equally good with soft creams and cups of zabaglione or hot chocolate. Since 2006, it has been certified a "Kosher Product" and since 2010, it has been granted De.Co. certification by the municipality of Casale Monferrato. In 2021, the Krumiri Rossi obtained another important award: the Historical Brand of National Interest, a title granted by Decree of the Ministry of Economic Development.
